South Cove Addition

This 1977 kitchen felt closed off and small in this open floor plan home. In order to add an island, enlarge the kitchen and have more open space for entertaining, the laundry room was moved to an existing craft/work room. The powder room moved into the existing laundry room so a wall could be removed to open up the kitchen to the family room with a new breakfast area. The existing bay window in the kitchen was widened and a new doorway opened into the dining room. The new kitchen includes drawer storage, expanded pantry with frosted French doors, lighted upper glass cabinetry for display, prep sink in the large island with a warming drawer. Under cabinet lighting, hardwood floors, and a new set of French doors open out to the back deck for warm weather enjoyment.
